Chef de Cuisine Beach Club - P.M.

The Breakers is seeking a dynamic and accomplished Chef de Cuisine to lead the culinary team at The Beach Club Restaurant — a reimagined oceanfront dining destination celebrating the vibrant flavors of coastal Mediterranean cuisine. This stylishly relaxed, al fresco venue will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and host private events, offering guests an elevated yet approachable experience.

In this pivotal role, the Chef de Cuisine P.M. will oversee all evening kitchen operations, inspiring and guiding the team to deliver exceptional food quality while upholding the highest standards of food safety and consistency. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary leader eager to shape a premier dining experience from the ground up in a breathtaking seaside setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver efficient operations, as well as exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and standardized recipes.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Manage food purchasing, receiving and inventory control.
  • Oversee event execution and kitchen logistics.
  • Collaborate on menu development and execute changes.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to meet operational needs.
  • Engage with guests to maintain satisfaction and address concerns.
  • Proactively communicate with supporting departments and coordinate operational activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a culinary leadership role, preferably in banquet or catering settings.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in menu planning and execution.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Previous experience/specialization in Mediterranean/Italian cuisine required.
