Director - Golf Operations

Department: Golf Operations

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Director of Golf Operations who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our golf operations at the ocean course, including managing staff, ensuring exceptional service quality, and meeting financial goals. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of golf and club operations, upholding the highest standards of service on a consistent basis. This individual will oversee the ocean golf course operation including valet, locker rooms, bag room, starters, rangers, driving range, the beverage cart, tournament operations, club member events, daily pre-shifts and assist in attending hotel related meetings. Also responsible for supporting the Director of Club Operations in creating budgets, monthly projections and ensuring all other financial goals are met for of golf. This individual will recruit, train, coach and lead the outside operations team at the Ocean Course. Also responsible for ensuring that supply inventory is kept, orders are timely, and expenses goals are followed. May also assist in researching, proposing, assisting in capital projects related to golf. Position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a management role, preferably in a golf or hospitality environment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of golf operations and industry standards
- Ability to create and manage budgets, financial projections, and meet financial goals
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in recruiting, training, and leading teams
- Proficiency in inventory management and expense control
- Familiarity with capital projects related to golf is a plus

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate tournament operations and club member events
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and attend hotel-related meetings
- Collaborate with the Director of Club Operations to develop budgets and ensure financial goals are met
- Recruit, train, coach, and lead the outside operations team
- Manage supply inventory, ensure timely orders, and follow expense goals
