Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cook with experience in various cooking techniques, including sautéing, roasting, soups, sauces, dressings, plate presentation, and recipe skills, to prepare high-quality meals for our guests at a Country Club. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and growing as a culinary professional while adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals according to established recipes and cooking standards.
- Monitor food quality and maintain consistent portion control and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and order supplies as necessary.
- Suggest menu changes and additions that reflect seasonal availability and guest preferences.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to consistently improve our food quality and presentation.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a cook in a professional kitchen or similar environment preferred
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques.
- Understanding of professional sanitation, food handling, teamwork, receiving, equipment, and storage standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts.
