Staff Accountant

Department: Accounting

Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant at The Breakers Palm Beach will be responsible for performing various accounting functions, including preparing balance sheets, income statements, and bank reconciliations. This role involves maintaining the general ledger, conducting necessary financial analysis to ensure accurate reporting, reviewing accounts payable disbursements, and ensuring correct accounting of payments. The Staff Accountant will also assist external auditors, contribute to state and local tax filings, stay up-to-date on accounting standards, and possess a strong understanding of accounting technology.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Proven experience in accounting roles
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with maintaining general ledger and preparing financial statements
- Ability to work effectively with external auditors
- Familiarity with state and local tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities:
